The summer holidays are nearly here, and there is so much to get stuck into across the county!
Holiday playschemes run like out of school clubs but during school holidays and offer extra activities. There are a number of different schemes in Oxfordshire that run during school holidays. Find out more here.

Family Information Service activities

Premier Soccer - across Oxfordshire
Premier Soccer are running Professional Coaching Courses across the whole of Oxfordshire. Open to boys & girls aged 5 - 13. 10 am - 2.30 pm each day. Structured skills and technique sessions. All abilities welcome. Fun games, competitions and small sided matches.
Lego Expo

After the huge success of our 1 day Lego Expo last year we are very excited to tell you we will be hosting a TWO week Lego Expo this summer in collaborations with Wantage Pixel Club & Toy Planet Collectors. Starting on Saturday 22nd July & ending on Saturday 5th August, there will be plenty of time for everyone to enjoy the wonderful creations that will be on display. As with the last Lego Expo we will be asking for your creations to be submitted to be on display.
3 Day Drama for 5-7 year-olds

Monday 31 July - Wednesday 2 August, 10am - 3pm £90
Monday 14 August - Wednesday 16 August - 10am-1pm £70

This interactive workshop aims to build confidence, creativity and imagination. Improvisation, mime and storytelling will be explored in this fun and exciting experience. Participants perform on the stage on Wednesday.
Afternoon Explorers at the Pitt Rivers Museum
Drop into the museums to touch real museum objects and make something fund to take home. Suitable for all. Drop in 1 - 4pm
We are a unique and exciting swim school based in Oxfordshire we provide swimming lessons for all abilities both children and adults. Summer courses are suitable for ages 3+. Lessons are 30 minutes and have 5 or less in with the teacher in the water. I am able to do from beginners up to competitive swimming.
We are running a week long science camp in various venues, where each day is dedicated to a particular scientific phenomenon and uses a mixture of exciting demonstrations, thought provoking hands on tasks and lots of fun games! Join us for a week jam packed full of science tricks, messy experiments, fun games and science crafts.
Oxfordshire Play Days

Looking for something to do in the school holidays? Come and see us at the Banbury Play Day in the People’s Park on Wednesday 26 July, 11am to 3pm and The Leys Activity and Play Day in Frys Hill Park, for some fun and healthy ideas for sugar swaps.  We will be getting you moving with Change for Life’s Disney inspired 10 minute shake Ups and giving away free tasty treats that will tempt all the family.

Whats on around the County

Making sure that kids have a great start in their education is one of our biggest priorities; it really means a lot to us. And we know how important #ChilternEdge school is to the families that live nearby. So following our consultation we're giving Chiltern Edge school more time to turn things round.
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. You can sign up at your local library, find a book to get started then read five more library books of your choice to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, and it’s FREE to take part!
